amicable divorce

Facing the decision to divorce is hard, but the divorce process does not have to be.

If you and your spouse are willing to work together and mutually want the divorce to be quick, affordable, and as smooth as possible, then amicable divorce may be right for you.

Amicable divorce means that both spouses are agreeable to divorcing and are willing to work together without going to court.

While Texas requires a minimum of 60 days before a divorce can be finalized, most divorces take much longer than that when spouses fight it out in court. Through amicable divorce, the required 60 day waiting period is utilized to complete most, if not all, of your divorce. This is only accomplished when the spouses are amicable and are willing to work through the divorce outside of court.

The best outcome in a divorce is met when both spouses are agreeable and cooperative when decisions must be made, thereby expediting each person’s ability to move on from the divorce faster and in better spirits.

I represent clients seeking an amicable divorce who do not wish to go to court. Let’s discuss if my representation is the right fit for you.
